As you know, in the Blue Cat Audio lab, we love guitars… Here is a great one, from a brand that you may not know yet (but you should): Paoletti.
Paoletti guitars is a company located in Tuscany (Italy), building high quality custom shop instruments out of old reclaimed chestnut wood from Italian wine barrels. You will definitely not get the same guitars elsewhere, as that’s the only place where you can find such wood!
The Guitar
This particular model is a sort of “Super Strat”: a natural color Lounge Alfa HSS model with reverse headstock (The Alfa shape was formerly known as “Stratospheric”).

The “Lounge” series are semi-hollow, which makes the guitar quite light, despite the high density of the old chestnut wood.

Altough Paoletti is known for its heavy relic finishes, here it is only the nickel plated brass pickguard that has been “relic-ed”. All the hardware is made in-house, including the very special knobs, made out of shotgun bullet parts.

That’s the great thing with Paoletti guitars: it is a custom shop so you can order pretty much anything you want, selecting parts and finishes from a wide array of options, as you can see here.
Tradition & Modernity
Thanks to its HSS pickups configuration, this instrument is a swiss army knife: a perfect match with Blue Cat’s Axiom and our other guitar tools to get a wide range of tones!

Listen
You will probably see and hear this guitar on Blue Cat Audio demo videos in the future.
In the meantime, here is a short excerpt playing the neck pickup in the Blue Cat Audio recording/testing studio (clean/crunch tones):
