Most of the energy consumed by a company like Blue Cat Audio is electricity – powering computers, servers, and maintaining a comfortable environment for people, whether heating in winter or cooling in summer (machines produce heat!).
For several years, the web infrastructure has been hosted in environmentally responsible data centers, prioritizing renewable energy sources. The website itself has also been carefully optimized to minimize CPU usage, reducing energy consumption while you browse it. Since it operates continuously, this optimization plays an important role in lowering its overall impact.
I am proud to announce that the Blue Cat Audio headquarters are now also mostly powered by solar panels, meaning that our software is now almost 100% produced with solar energy.
This approach fits naturally with our activity, as most of the work takes place during daylight hours, when solar production is at its peak.
