Blue Cat's Flanger

Description

Blue Cat's Flanger - Classic Flanging effect DirectX and VST Plugin (Freeware)

Blue Cat's Flanger effect is very versatile: it may sound very harsh and metallic or on the contrary very soft. You can obtain a wide range of sounds with this plug-in. The included factory presets will make you explore the capabilities of this effect.

Very famous during the 70's and 80's, this effect can be used on almost any audio track: from drums to voices or guitars, from a subtle effect to a deep alien-like voice effect, enjoy it!

This effect is a mono effect: it will alter the sound the same way on the left and right channels of your audio signal. For a stereo flanging effect please listen to the Blue Cat's Stereo Flanger plugin.

V2.0

  • Brand new skinnable Graphic User Interface using Blue Cat's skinning language v1.2.2.
  • Advanced MIDI control with customizable parameters curve response and MIDI learn.
  • All parameters can now be fine tuned thanks to a text-edit popup window that appears when double clicking on user interface widgets.
  • Feedback and Feed forward parameters can now be negative for phase inversion.
  • Precision of the gain control enhanced.
  • User Manual accessible from plug-in UI.
  • DX version: the factory presets are now available from the host standard presets view (for hosts that support static presets)
  • Warning: because it now supports MIDI events, the DirectX plug-in may appear in the "Synth" or "DXi" category instead of "effects" in some hosts (such as Cakewalk Sonar). If it does not appear in you host, you might want to use our DXi Manager to de-activate MIDI features.
  • Warning: this new version breaks the presets compatibility, and is thus installed as a new plug-in. If you have a previous version installed and do not want to keep it, just uninstall it manually.
